01Page addresses and links

The side panel reads the current page address when Chrome grants temporary access after you invoke the extension. You can also paste an address, or invoke the toolbar icon or shortcut again to read the current permitted tab. The extension does not read website content, cookies or browsing history. The current address, generated link, click-ID removal choice and temporary Undo stay in the open page's memory. The full page address is never automatically saved or synchronized.

Use tags from URL only imports tag values after your explicit confirmation. Those values follow your recent-values and preset settings below. If you deliberately put an address or sensitive text into a saved preset, group name or tag value, that text becomes part of that saved data.

02Presets and Chrome-profile synchronization

Saved preset names, standard and custom tag values, group names, group assignments and Lowercase can synchronize through your Chrome profile when Chrome sync is enabled. Chrome manages that synchronization; the publisher does not receive it. A local copy remains available. Oversized items, full sync storage or unavailable synchronization can leave an edit only on this device, so another device may show an older copy.

Edits and deletion markers include version times and a randomly generated replica identifier to resolve conflicting copies; these metadata travel with synchronized records through Chrome and are not publisher telemetry. Removing a group preserves its presets. Missing groups are shown as Ungrouped. The extension cannot guarantee a simultaneous transaction across multiple devices or deletion of records known only to an offline device.

03Device-local settings and suggestions

Theme, space handling, Remember recent tag values, Startup preset selection and your manual Source/Medium dictionary stay on this device and do not synchronize. A startup preset can fill an empty new form, including when Remember is off. Platform templates are bundled editable examples; Add template creates an ordinary saved preset with the synchronization behavior above.

While Remember is enabled, recent standard and custom tag values and the last selected preset remain locally available for reopening the form. Up to 50 recent Source/Medium values per field are recorded after successful Copy, Copy tags only, Batch Copy or preset Save/Update. Typing, selecting a preset, import, CSV and QR do not add suggestion history. Manual dictionary entries are saved only by an explicit edit or previewed import from presets. Neither dictionary nor suggestion history synchronizes or automatically captures page addresses.

Turning Remember off clears automatic recent values, last preset selection and automatic suggestion history, and prevents further automatic writes. It keeps the live draft, saved presets and manual dictionary. Turning it back on remembers subsequent edits; it does not capture another already-open form. Clear recent values and Clear dictionary are separate actions.

04Workspace, batch links and QR

Workspace search, sorting and unsaved editors stay in the open workspace tab's memory. Batch links uses only addresses you paste, with up to 100 nonempty rows. Its input, selected preset snapshot, results and click-ID choice disappear when that tab reloads or closes. The extension does not visit those pages or save a link history. Copy writes chosen valid results to your clipboard; Download CSV creates a file containing original addresses, generated addresses and tag values. Sharing that file also shares the original addresses.

QR encodes only a finished link you paste, on your device, using a bundled encoder. The link and QR code are not saved or sent anywhere. PNG and SVG files are created only when you click Download.

05Clipboard, files and backups

Copy actions write only the requested text after your explicit action. There is no clipboard reading. Import reads only JSON you paste or a file you choose; there is no automatic file access. Preset export includes the selected or all saved presets and their groups. Full backup includes all presets and groups and local preferences: theme, spaces, Remember, Startup preset and the manual dictionary. Restoring preferences is a separate choice, off by default. Lowercase, page addresses, batches, QR and automatic recent values and history are excluded from full backups.

Preset text can itself be sensitive. Clipboard contents and exported JSON, CSV, PNG or SVG files are under your control, outside the extension. Other applications, recipients or file-sync services may access copies you share. Removing the extension does not remove those copies. The extension does not provide a secret vault or application-level encryption.

06Reset, deletion and removal

Settings offers separate previewed resets for local data and deletion of all presets and groups currently known on this device. Versioned deletion markers prevent older copies from restoring deleted records while those markers remain. An optional maintenance action removes acknowledged markers at least 90 days old after warning that a long-offline device may then restore deleted records. No publisher holds a copy to delete.

Removing the extension clears its device-local extension storage. It does not guarantee deletion of Chrome-profile copies on other devices, exported files or clipboard contents. Manage profile synchronization and its retained data through Chrome's own settings.

07Permissions

• activeTab — reads the current page address after you invoke the extension, so the side panel can build a campaign link for that page.
• storage — keeps local preferences, recent values and the manual tag dictionary, keeps local preset and group copies, and synchronizes saved presets, groups, assignments and Lowercase through your Chrome profile when available.
• sidePanel — shows the campaign-link form and Copy beside the current page.

The extension contains no remote code: its scripts, QR encoder, fonts, icons and styles are bundled, and it makes no network requests of its own.

08This website

eddytwist.com is a static site on Firebase Hosting by Google. To serve the pages and detect abuse, Google processes visitors' IP addresses and keeps them for a few months (see Firebase privacy). The site sets no cookies and has no forms or analytics, and we do not export or analyse request logs.
